KT19 covers Epsom, West Ewell and Stoneleigh, and the housing is overwhelmingly interwar and post-war semi-detached and detached with side access and gardens. That is close to ideal: a ground-level condenser position well clear of any boundary, a short pipe run up to the bedrooms, and no conservation constraint on most streets. Rooms are a reasonable size rather than a large one, so the sizing is usually a 2.5 or 3.5 kW unit rather than a 5. Newer estate development towards Ewell adds well-insulated houses that cool quickly and cheaply.
Worth knowing before you book. Gardens here are planted rather than paved, and a condenser set into a border needs a proper base under it. Standing one on soil looks fine for a summer and then settles out of level, and a compressor out of level is a compressor wearing out early.
