Every figure on this page comes from the 26 quotations we issued in 2026. The number of rooms sets the base, five things move it, and nothing is added for where you are in London.

Accredited, and fitting the brands you know
A single wall-mounted room costs £2,400 to £3,200 fitted, including VAT, and each extra room on the same outdoor unit adds about £1,900 to £2,600. The unit type, the room size, the property, the outdoor position and the pipe run are what move it from there.
The ranges are fitted to 26 real quotations Electro Heating Limited issued between July and September 2026, and the calculator on our prices page uses exactly the same figures.
The base price: how many rooms
The base is a straightforward job: wall-mounted units, the outdoor unit at ground level, a pipe run inside the 25 metres the price includes, and a house rather than a flat. Rooms after the first share one outdoor unit, which is why each one costs less than the first.

Each line below is an adjustment on top of the base. Where it says per room, it is added for every indoor unit of that kind; the rest are added once for the whole job.

Extras we only add when the job needs them
None of these is in the base price, and none is added unless the survey shows it is needed. The fuse board is the one most new installations do need, which is why it is listed first.

What is always included
- The survey, which is free, with no deposit and nothing to sign.
- 25 metres of pipework. After that it is 30 pounds a metre, charged only for what is actually installed.
- Travel, parking and the congestion charge, wherever you are in London.
- A written, itemised fixed price with the make and model of every unit, valid for 30 days.

The two five-room jobs rose to £14,332 and £13,572 once condensate pumps and a long pipe run were added, which is exactly what the extras and the pipe adjustment above are for.
Where our price sits
Honestly, at the upper end of the London market for a single room. Several published London ranges start lower. The difference is what the price includes: 25 metres of pipework, no travel or congestion charge, and a fixed figure after a free survey rather than a low number that grows on the day. If a cheaper quote leaves those out, compare like with like before you decide.

Questions about our prices
Is VAT included in the installation prices?
Yes. Every installation figure on this page includes VAT at 20 per cent, because that is what you actually pay. Air conditioning is not on the energy saving materials list, so the zero rate that applies to heat pumps and solar does not apply to it.
The servicing and repair rates further down are the other way round: they are quoted plus VAT, exactly as the owner set them.
Do you charge for travel, parking or the congestion charge?
No, anywhere we work. All of our 2026 quotations were re-read for it and not one carries a travel, mileage, parking or congestion charge line, including the ones inside the congestion zone and south of the river.
Why can you not give me an exact price online?
Because three things only a visit can settle move the price: how far the pipe run really is, where the outdoor unit can legally and practically go, and whether the consumer unit has room for another circuit. The calculator gives you the honest range for your answers. The survey turns it into one written number.
Will the price change after the survey?
Only if you change the job. The written price lists the make and model of every unit, the metres of pipework and what is included and excluded, and it is valid for 30 days.
Is there a grant for air conditioning?
Since 2026 the Boiler Upgrade Scheme also lists 2,500 pounds towards an air-to-air heat pump, which is what an air conditioner is. It is not the same as the 7,500 pound grant for an air-to-water heat pump and the conditions are narrower: it depends on what is being replaced, on the property having a valid EPC, and on an MCS certified installation. We will check whether your property qualifies and tell you either way, and we will not put a grant in a quotation until it is confirmed. The current rules are on GOV.UK.
