Cookie policy

The short version

This website sets no cookies of its own. Not essential ones, not analytics ones, not advertising ones.

The one exception is the Google map in the footer of every page, which shows our Google Business Profile. It is provided by Google and loads shortly after the page does. When it loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy. You can block Google's cookies in your browser settings and the rest of the site works the same. Nothing else on this site comes from a third party.

We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and without storing anything on your device. It tells us how many people looked at which page and roughly where they came from, not who you are, and it does not follow you to other websites.

What that actually means

Most websites in this trade load an analytics script, an advertising pixel, a chat widget and a font service before you have agreed to anything, and each of those receives your IP address the moment the page opens. This site loads none of them.

• No tracking. Visits are counted by Cloudflare Web Analytics, with no cookie and no profile of you. We do not use Google Analytics.
• No advertising or remarketing pixels. You will not be followed around the internet by an advert for air conditioning because you read this page.
• No third party fonts. Both typefaces are served from this domain. A font service would receive your IP address before you had chosen anything.
• No chat widget, no heatmaps, no session recording.
• No embedded videos, and one embedded map: the Google map in the footer, described above.

What is stored on your device

Nothing that persists. The permission check and the three calculators run entirely inside your browser, and what you type into them is held in memory only for as long as the page is open. Close the tab and it is gone. It is never transmitted to us and never written to storage.

The enquiry form

The form posts to an endpoint on this domain, which composes an email and sends it to our inbox. It is not written to a database and no third party form service sees it. It sets no cookie and it does not identify you beyond what you typed into it.

When you press a WhatsApp or email button

Those buttons compose a message and hand it to your own WhatsApp or mail application. From that point the message is governed by WhatsApp's or your email provider's terms rather than by this site.

When you press a WhatsApp button, a copy of the message the page prepared for you, and the page you pressed it on, is also emailed to our own enquiry inbox, the same one the forms use, so that no enquiry is lost between the website and the chat. It does not include your phone number or anything you change in WhatsApp afterwards, it is not written to a database, and it sets no cookie. The email buttons send nothing to us until you press send in your mail application.

Our hosting provider

This site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes the technical information any web server needs in order to deliver a page, including your IP address, and may retain it briefly for security and abuse prevention. That is how the internet works rather than a choice we are making, and it happens whether or not a cookie exists.

If this ever changes

If we ever add anything that sets a cookie or tracks you, this page changes first, a consent banner appears, and nothing loads until you choose. We would rather lose the data than take it quietly.
