N15 is mostly late Victorian terraced housing, and a large share of it has been converted into two or three flats. That single fact shapes nearly every job here: the property has a freeholder, the outdoor unit is going on a wall somebody else can see, and the electrical supply may be shared. None of that stops the work, but it changes the order it happens in. The newer blocks around Tottenham Hale are the opposite problem: modern, well insulated, easy to cool, and governed by a management company with a written alterations policy.

Almost always. Rear elevation, ground level or on brackets, with the pipe run boxed and painted rather than left as a bare surface run.
On a terrace the front elevation is the one position that reliably causes a planning problem, so we design to avoid it.
What does a one-bedroom flat cost?
A single wall unit in one room is £2,400 to £3,200 installed, and a small flat is usually at the lower end because the pipe runs are short.
Add a dedicated fuse board at £350 if the consumer unit has no spare way, which in a conversion it often does not.
