## Vaillant air source heat pump installation in Kingston KT2

We installed a Vaillant air source heat pump at a house in Kingston upon Thames KT2. The outdoor unit is a large two-fan monobloc, and it stands in the narrow side passage between the house and the fence, where it is out of sight from the garden and the street.

The unit stands on feet on the paving and was levelled with a spirit level on its lid before it was connected. The flow and return run along the foot of the wall in thick black insulation, with an isolating valve on the run and the cable clipped to the brickwork above it.

Inside, the system has a Vaillant controller and wiring centre, a Zilmet buffer tank, a Vaillant hot water cylinder, a magnetic filter, expansion vessels for the heating and the hot water, and an underfloor heating manifold, all piped in insulated pipework in one cupboard.
