We installed a Samsung Gen 7 12kW heat pump in a South Croydon CR2 home under renovation, with a 250-litre Samsung Joule cylinder in a plant room in the utility. Underfloor heating on the ground floor and radiators upstairs run as two zones, and the granny annex is now on the same system.

The design took account of the external wall insulation planned for the house, so the heat pump is sized for the house as it will be, not as it was.

1. 1 Designed for the house after the works The heat loss survey included the planned external wall insulation, the new underfloor heating and the upgraded radiators, so the heat pump was sized for the finished house.
