Each room has its own control, and the outside of the house carries one unit instead of four. The outdoor unit stands on the patio on mounting feet, beside a raised planter. Four pairs of insulated refrigerant lines run along the planter wall and up the back wall in black trunking beside the downpipe, with the isolator on the wall below. Before any refrigerant went in, we filled the pipework with nitrogen at 40 bar and left it for two hours to prove every joint. The system cools in summer and heats in winter.
